The old saying “you are what you eat” couldn’t ring more true. Finally, after many painstaking years, experts have agreed that the food you put in your body affects your Mental Health. Food is now (officially) medicine!!
What we ingest on a daily basis is making a cumulative impact. According to Dr. Wilson, when you eat bad food (processed, preservatives, high in sugar), your brain is the first rather than the last organ in your body to take a hit. If you eat bad food your body will store excessive fat and you will fry your brain. When your brain becomes overloaded with this bad food, a pathology of continued to crave bad food kicks in and is often co-occurring real with other disorders such as depression and anxiety.
